
NW 47thAvenue is an arterial roadway in northwest Miami-Dade County which extends north into Broward County. NW 47thAvenue serves as a north-south connection between northwest Miami-Dade County and southwest Broward County. In Miami-Dade County, NW 47thAvenue serves as the dividing line between the City of Miami Gardens and unincorporated Miami-Dade County. In Broward County, NW 47th Avenue converts into Palm Avenue and serves the City of Miramar. The purpose of this urban reconstruction project is to provide additional roadway capacity by adding an additional northbound and southbound lane, bridge replacement, canal dredging, constructing new medians in the center of the roadway, heavy utility relocation and conflict resolution, upgrading the drainage system, water main installation through a JPA, ADA sidewalk improvements, Installing new street lighting and new signalized intersections.
